Stylish Addition to our Kitchen Remodel
We recently remodeled our kitchen and the EWT1306SS was the perfect finishing touch. We needed a range hood that would fit with a soffit ceiling and it fit into our design perfectly! We love the sleek, contemporary look and it does a great job at keeping our kitchen fresh. We highly recommend this quality product.
Disappointingly loud
We recently installed this hood vent. It looks beautiful and I love how the base is slim so it doesn't take away from our porcelain backsplash. The lights are great, bright but a warm tone so perfect for evening light in the kitchen when we switch off the main lights. I would easily have given this review a 5 however I am giving a 2 due to the noise and settings. Level 1 is very quiet. Level 2 is extremely loud with what appears to be almost maximum suction, level 3 and level 4 are only slightly more. There is no gradual increase in noise/suction from level 1 to 4, it goes from 1 straight to almost max. I would have loved levels 2 and 3 to be a bit lower so we could have better suction than level 1 but without all the noise. It is VERY loud after level 1. It's already installed now so we'll keep it but I will buy a different brand next time unless Broan are able to offer a solution to the lack of gradual levels
RE: CFM 640 (from power key 1 to 3)
We bought and installed the captioned model today. However, my friend recommended us this model as the max power goes up to 4 (640 CFM), but we have only 1-3, and later found in the manual saying that power 4 is of 640 CFM and the power can be set lowered with the "Code Ready Technology" . We do not know if the hood has been lowered already. How can we revert to the max 640 CFM???
