this works great on top of my 5 gallon jug and I use it to fill one gallon jug very quickly. I also have one of the automated ones that you charge and just press the button but it is very slow to fill up a gallon. if you don't mind manually pumping this one fills up very fast and works excellent. it is a little larger than the automated ones however it just works a lot better. the automated one is good for just filling up 8 oz glasses
