Excellent tire

Moved to NH in Nov and after the first light dusting of snow my little Sentra couldnt get out of the driveway (dirt, up hill slope out). I knew she needed new tires then! I researched for about 2 weeks before deciding on the Blizzaks. I got them put on the car 2 days before we got another 8" of snow. There was no problem getting out of the driveway. I am more confident and comfortable driving in winter weather than I have ever been in the past. You can feel the tires gripping the road. My mpg's were only slightly reduced. Minimal road noise. But keep in mind, ICE is ICE no matter what you have on your car. I would recommend these tires for anyone looking for a good set of winter tires.

AMAZING

I have never owned winter tires before but after this last winter using Goodyear triple tread tires I decided that where those tires are good I really needed something more. Putting my new Blizzack WS-80's has literally transformed this vehicle. I have owned AWD and four wheel drive vehicles but putting these new Blizzack WS-80 tires on this car has given me the confidence level that i had when I owned a vehicle that was driving all four wheels. Believe me when say that you don't need four wheel drive and you don't need AWD you just need Blizzack!

Haven't found a bad winter condition yet

I used to run Michelin X-Ice2 on my Camry during the winter and had to avoid really bad ice, snow, slush condition. Since getting the Blizzak WS80 on my Outback, I'm longing for a really really challenging situation just to try out the combination. So far, I've just got one 30-cm snow storm, but nothing seemed to be too challenging including up and down steep sharp curves on 6 cm of slush and ice with the car still running like the Camry on dry road. Well, there are still 3 months of harsh winter left, and I hope to get more fun.
