Whirlpool WCG77US0HS 30 inch Stainless 5 Burner Gas Cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this 5 burner gas cooktop Feb 1st 2020 to replace a 4 burner Kitchenaid of 20 yrs. The features which drew us to this brand and model were: first, it only had one small sauce burner located in rear of stove with 3 medium & large burner positioned for best access while cooking. Secondly, the lift-to-clean grates make much less of a chore when cleaning after every meal. Third, the sealed burners and removable gas diffusers provide easy access for cleaning and prevents pot over-runs from leaking down underneath the stove. We definitely like that it is American made & stainless steel. The cast iron material the grates are made of prevent pots from easily moving on top of the stove. We have used the stove for more than 45 days - cooking almost everyday and it has worked exceptionally well. The only issue would be cleaning the polished aluminum gas diffusers as they quickly get dirty. Easy-off oven cleaner works well but does leave the polished aluminum dull. They are clean though with very little scrubbing. As far as the plastic knobs, no issues - they are wiped after every meal with a surface cleaner and hold up just fine. Melting of the knobs is not a problem as it is paramount to use the correct sized pan on the correct burner and keeping the flame under control when cooking. Overall, we are very satisfied with our decision and highly recommend it to others. Thank you Whirlpool for making an outstanding product.
