Best purchase I made

Bought this about a month a go, and let me tell you! I had a horrible luck with the Ryder DLX, so many issues that I ended up losing part of my money (OKJ came through with some credits) but I was sore about it… said I'd never buy another OKJ product. But then I saw some videos online of people having great luck with this and I kid you not, this thing is a beast! Holds temp like if it was a pellet grill… the you do not need to fill the entire basket and it will burn for 7 hours easily! Cooked some ribs and the smell was sooooo good my neighbors showed up because they could not handled such a great aroma….. OKJ, you made a believer out of me again

Really like this!

Father's day gift. A little difficult assembling as the holes didn't seem to line up properly at first but got it together and it works great. Have only grilled with it so far, but wow, better grilling experience than anything else I have used. Looking forward to trying it as a smoker and learning this different way to smoke.

Smok'em if you got'em!

I have used it each weekend (3) since I assembled the smoker with great results. Assembly takes a bit of time but this smoker is heavy duty, well designed and packaged well. At 140 lbs, I was impressed with the quality. Nothing cheap or flimsy in this smoker. There are plenty of youtube videos on assembly and seasoning the smoker. I suggest that you watch a few to get familiar with the smoker. My first meat project was a brisket, though I would suggest a pork shoulder/butt which is easier and far cheaper if you mess something up. I have also done a pork butt with excellent results. Both the brisket and pulled pork was as good as any quality BBQ joint that I have eaten at in the US. Temperature can be maintained steadily for long periods. A full basket of charcoal has been giving me over 10 hours of 250 degree heat. I highly suggest getting a Bronco drum smoker. I would suggest that you get a duel probe thermometer that gives a more accurate temp of the grill face where the meat is laying. I also tried out the grill conversion and did a nice steak on it. In fact that was one feature that won me over was that is could also be a grill. So, go and "round up" a Bronco. You wont be sorry.
