The protac 1AAA is a great little pocket light. Its durable. I've carried mine in my pocket for well over a year and have dropped it numerous times. A lot of the finish has worn because of my coins, keys, etc riding in the same pocket, but it's still reliable. It's small enough to clip on your epaulet if you're in security or law enforcement to do paperwork. If you need your hands free its small enough to comfortably hold in your mouth. The low setting is good for paperwork or a general handy light, the high setting is good when you need momentary bursts of greater light for longer range vision or inspections. Admittedly, the run time on high is short- maybe 30 minutes. so it is best used sparingly. But low will go for eight hours or more. I use rechargeable NIMH batteries so I don't mind the short runtime. For a real tiny terror, buy some 10440 batteries and a charger online and it will put out an impressive amount of light on high, enough to serve as a backup for the minimalist Law enforcement officer. I took one paw off for finish wear, but honestly, it's probably deserving of five paws.
