Possible design flaw in the sink stopper pin
We selected this Moen Glyde model in all our 5 bathrooms, the brushed nickel in our powder room and the matte black in the other 4 bathrooms and Within 2 weeks after moving into our newly constructed home the stopper pin in back of the faucets that are used to open and close the sink stopper broke off in 3 faucets and our plumber stated this is a design flaw? And it seems the pin that broke off is not threaded to secure it on? Am I to avoid opening or closing the sink stopper as it easily could break off?

Cheap junk
I have four of these installed in my new house that is just about a year old. In the first fourteen months, two of the lift rods have broken at the curved handle. Moen sent me the parts, but after trying for a couple hours, I have determined that I do not have the dexterity to fix push the rod up through the hole, while simultaneously screwing in the new handle assembly thingy. It is definitely a two-person job, or requires someone with X-ray vision, four foot arms the width of broom sticks, with super-human coordination. In other words, I need to hire a licensed plumber....

You are correct, working under a vanity or pedestal sink on the drain assembly and the connecting lift rod parts can be a challenge; making one wish for longer and/or more arms or to call in a plumber.
