Much better.

Ordered an $18.00 one and it was very flimsy...fell apart on 1st use. Returned it...and paid a little more for this one....and it is much more sturdy. After reading reviews and product descriptions, I went with my gut on the BonJour product....and I'm glad I did. It's very true....in many cases (not all), you do get what you pay for. I believe you will be safe with any of the BonJour presses. They just make a sturdier mechanism.

Makes very good cup of coffee.

I enjoy a good cup of coffee and for the past two years we have been using a one cup Keurig coffee brewer. Quick and convenient but makes terrible coffee in my opinion. I have been wondering if a french coffee press might make a cup of coffee that would satisfy. Again in my opinion, the answer is a resounding Yes! The very first cup I made with the Bonjour 8 cup coffee press was far superior to what the Keurig produces. The Bonjour press is well made, comes with a rubberized coaster and coffee scoop. It seems solid and should last a long time unless of course I break the glass pot. The Bonjour press is very easy to use and only slightly more involved than using the pod Keurig brewer. Simply boil the correct amount of water, add coffee grounds to the Bonjour press, add water and wait 3-4 minutes. Then gently press the plunger down and pour a great tasting cup of coffee. Clean up is easy also. I like that I can still make just one cup of coffee or several and each will taste as good as the first. It does seem that the cup rating is for 6 ounce cups which is a smaller serving size that many mug using coffee drinkers would consider a cup of coffee. But one can easily brew 6 hearty mugs of coffee at once. This being my first french coffee press, I am not sure if spending more will give you any better cup of coffee or a better made brewer. I am very pleased with the Bonjour press and the Site to Store purchase experience at Walmart.
