works great for our kid 25lbs first time in the water / swimmer , our 17-month-old girl fits great but little hard to walk in and a little hard to balance but that could be because she still learning to walk but otherwise item as described floats very well great extra top strap we use for emergency to pull her out of the water or keep her above water. great material child enjoys it actually keeps her back a bit warm. extra head floats but she doesn't like water in her ears. if in shallow water falling forward maybe a bit dangerous. otherwise pretty good highly recommend first-timers. especially if you're going to keep hands on I would recommend something else or bigger child or allowing them to roam freely.

My 10m old son hated the other life vest we had him. I was nervous he would hate this also, but I was happy to find that he loved it! He didnt cry or whine when we put it on him and he fell asleep with it on. It was a great pillow while we were on the boat!
