Bob's Red Mill, Scottish Oatmeal, Organic, 20 oz is unique because of the way the oats are milled. They are not rolled or cut, but rather, they are milled on our cool, slow-turning quartz millstones. This gives them a smooth, creamy texture that's sure to please. Each serving contains 6g of protein and 4g of dietary fiber, including 2g of soluble fiber. Oats are also a good source of iron. This unflavored oatmeal allows you to customize it to your liking by adding your favorite toppings. We've given some ideas on the side of the bag, but try what sounds best to you: dried fruits and nuts, egg and cheese, maple syrup and brown sugar, yogurt and banana - the possibilities are endless! Make the world's best oatmeal at home Bring water and salt to a boil. Add Scottish Oatmeal, reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 2 minutes.Servings Oats Water Salt 1 Serving1/4 cup3/4 cuppinch2 Servings1/2 cup1 1/2 cuppinch3 Servings3/4 cup2 1/4 cups1/4 tsp4 Servings1 cup3 cups1/4 tspMicrowave instructions In a large bowl, combine 1/4 cup Scottish Oatmeal, 3/4 cup water and a pinch of salt. Cover and microwave on high for 3 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes. Stir well before eating. Makes 1 serving.Scottish Oatmeal in the slow cooker Combine 3 cups water, 1 cup oats and 1/4 tsp salt in a 4-6 quart slow cooker. Cover with lid and cook on low for 2 hours. Makes 4 servings.

This is the BEST oatmeal. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes oatmeal. This is not instant oatmeal. It takes at least 20-25 minutes to cook but it's worth the wait.
