Let stand for 2 minutes.~ Makes 1 serving.Slow Cooker: Combine 3 cups water, 1/2 tsp salt and 1 cup cereal in a slow cooker. Stir well. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or high for 1-2 hours. Brown rice everyday

My favorite cereal. I became interested in macrobiotics back in the early 70's and have found a grain based diet to be the healthiest for me. I learned many years ago how to survive on brown rice & veggies as my mainstay along with fruit and occasional fish or eggs.

Good rice choice

Although I like the whole wheat farina better, this is a great choice for a break, or if you're gluten free. This is made from brown rice, so it's healthier than the white farina. It is a little more grainy than cream of wheat type cereals, but I don't mind the difference.

We've got a Bob's Creamy brown rice cereal habit

Creamy brown rice cereal is a favorite breakfast in my house. We mix it with some oatmeal, Ceylon cinnamon, organic raisins, 2 tablespoons of organic applesauce, and 2 heaping teaspoons of organic peanut butter powder. Everybody has a bowl and no one misses a day. Bob's creamy rice cereal is always fresh smelling when I open the bag. I buy the 4 bag box because I can count on the freshness to last.
