The fabric allows you to customize the color to match your style, as well as extend the life of the primary filter, catching large airborne particles such as dust, lint, pollen, and pet hair. Vacuum the exterior of the fabric pre-filter to remove visible dust and dirt as often as you'd like. Removable, washable, and reusable the pre-filter is designed to be used again and again. When it requires a deeper clean, throw the fabric in the washing machine on a gentle, low-temperature cycle. Hang to dry. A hidden compartment in the fabric pre-filter keeps the power cord hidden out of sight. Available in five pre-filter colors inspired by natural Scandinavian landscapes; Buff Yellow, Crystal Pink, Diva Blue, Dark Shadow (dark gray), Lunar Rock (light gray) and Saffron Red.

Simple to change
I really like having spare pre-filters so I can wash some and still have on on my machine. I found it is best to use the vacuum on the pre-filter first to collect the dust before removing it. It takes no time at all to change these filters and they really help keep the main filters inside the machine clean to last longer.
