How to Disable Auto Dimming

Yes, Auto-Dimming can be turned off!! While the radio is off hold down the scan button for a few seconds AUTO will then appear in the display below the time. Toggle through the brightness display options of AUTO>1>2>3>4>5 with the scroll wheel and once you have selected what option you want hold down the scroll wheel to confirm then you're done!

Best we've ever had by far.

It's been a few months and we love this speaker/clock! The sound is amazing, for a clock radio. Just as good as any decent dedicated bluetooth speaker. Alarm is great and light can come on with alarm or just used as a quick light to turn on that isn't blinding in the morning. The display does occasionally dim in situations that makes it a bit harder to see but those are very few instances. You can adjust the display to not use the ambeint light sensor so people having issues with that can change it from auto. Personally we think it works great on auto. The brightness is perfect at night to see but it is not too bright. In daylight or with a bright room it brightens nicely. Not a single complaint about this unit.

Dissatisfaction

Beautiful design. But the auto-dimmer feature is idiotic. Eg in a dark room, i actually want the bleeping led display ON not OFF !!! Obviously zero product testing with ordinary people. I am keeping this, but really disappointed with not having auto-dimmer as optional.
