These totes have gaskets around edge to give a better seal. Preventing bugs, dust, and even moisture (I'd still use desiccant pack if long term) from ruining what ever you store in it. I use it for everything... textiles, toys, etc. it's even food safe so I store sugars, and baking supplies in them too. There are different sizes, the latch system is the only way I buy totes these days, very reliable. Hefty was the first to make them many years ago, but I much prefer Sterilite, mostly because they are made in America. They even make them extra large with a pull handle and wheels, just need to order online, but perfect for holiday supplies.

Used for yarn storage in a building with a large mouse population. The mice love to chew through yarn, I assume to personally taunt me since it has no nutritional value and they don't carry it away for nesting. This container finally stopped them and saved me hundreds of dollars in ruined yarn. I was able to fit 14 300g balls of bernat blanket yarn in this container while allowing it to fully latch.
