You'll notice that the K&H Heated Bed may not feel warm to the touch when your pet is not on the pad. THIS IS NORMAL! Our products are designed to only warm when your pet is lying in the bed. You can test the pad by placing a large pillow on top of the bed. After about 20 minutes, feel under the pillow. It will feel warm, not hot. If you feel warmth, the product is working as designed. For use with 110/120 volt electrical current only. Recommended placement of house: In a sheltered area such as a porch, under a deck, in a garage, etc.

It arrived quickly. Assembly easy and explained well. Appears warm. Hopefully the strays I seen will use it when it gets really cold. They do come onto the porch at night but skittish and run away when we open the door, except 1. I guess we'll see. The one that comes, I wish thee inside was lighter color so you could see inside better. He seems a little afraid of it.

My cats have been happy with K%26H house.

I've had two of the regular size K%26H heated cat houses for a few years, so I was fairly sure I knew what I was getting this year. Other than the extra room, this is designed like the others. Easy to assemble. Withstands normal cat behavior. Comfortable and warm even in freezing temps. Outside, it should be sheltered from rain (because of electricity) and strong winds (certainly when not occupied). Mine are on screened porch, and the tenants can come inside MY house IF they want to.
