Features an anti-lockout screw for child safe mode, and it is reversible for use on both left and right-handed, swing-in, residential doors. The privacy lock is for use on interior doors only, as it is not designed for use as a security device on entry doors where higher security is required. Mounts on the surface of the doorjamb with only 2 screws, and it can usually be installed without mortising. Installation is a breeze, and operating the lock could not be any easier. This lock engages with a simple flip of the hinged wing, and it is favored by many.
