Plain white silk scarf to dye, paint or color to make something truly unique. Also known as "China Silk", these lightweight and breezy blank 8mm Habotai scarves are perfect for dyeing and painting, because they are the most economical of all the silks. They pair great with our Jacquard Acid Dyes (https://yarndesignersboutique.com/dyeing-supplies/dyes/jacquard-acid-dyes) and make the perfect weight scarf for summer. We also have a kit available with silk scarf, 9 Colors of Dye and Instructions (https://yarndesignersboutique.com/products/silk-scarf-dyeing-kit-with-dye-na-flow) if you're new to dyeing Silk. The 11" x 60" and 8" x 72" size have hand rolled hems with 100% silk thread. The square sizes are unhemmed ready to dye and paint! If you're looking for a really clean even finish, we recommend you pre-wash in hot water and Synthrapol or Professional Textile Detergent, all silk before dyeing or painting to remove any leftover residue from the silk worms (Seracin) or finger prints and other stuff that can cause the fabric to dye unevenly. Beautiful Scarves
I purchased these scarves for our small Craft Club to do Water Marbeling. Everyone had a good time dyeing the scarves and they turned out lovely! The girls all said they would like to do it again sometime!!
