BlackBerry Bold 9900 8 GB Smartphone, 2.8" LCD640 x 480, BlackBerry OS 7.0, 3.5G, Charcoal

I wanted a smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard from a reputable phone retailer. I decided on this Blackberry phone. I set up the phone with Straight Talk (bought the $45 plan and the necessary AT&T SIM card from Straight Talk). Everything works wonderfully EXCEPT that there is NO data support. I can do calls, text, and wi-fi, but I cannot receive pictures via text or browse the internet, etc. Internet capabilities are only available via wi-fi. Anyway, I reallllly like this phone. The touchscreen is a tad small, but I was happy with it for what it was. It's a really good quality phone, but I really need data coverage, even just a little bit. But, I cannot justify spending this much money on a phone and having to get a more expensive phone plan through a different carrier. So, I'm going to get the 9310 Blackberry sold by Walmart for a fraction of the price of this phone. I've been assured the 9310 will do everything including data on Straight Talk. The only major difference is that it will not have a touchscreen. But that's not a major loss since I can still use their touchpad to scroll, etc.

I am disappointed with walmart because they didn´t said at the description of the phone that it is a AT and T branded cell phone, I may never had bought it if they were more honest at this regard. Beside that the cell phone works OK.
