Lightweight and surprisingly snug fitting. The frames are very good and versatile with mounting and free standing. They actually have glass covers for the pictures. The frames are a matte black finish with a thin bezel around the pictures. The frames seem to be a one piece formed frame with no seams. The instructions are easy to follow and read. The frames can be mounted on the wall in a vertical or horizontal orientation or on a table with the included stand that snaps in place with little effort and it snaps in place tightly. The glass cover does take a little force to remove it, but it does hold itself in place snuggly. I did have some pictures made at the instore photo shop and they were a tad larger than the frame but slide in over the matte backing and after snapping in the glass cover, everything fits like a glove. My wife is happy with the frames and the way they can be mounted.

Good frames

I don't have photos in these frames yet. With the holidays approaching I will soon be able to use these. The fact that you can either hang these or use them on a table top is definitely a plus. I also like the fact that the frame is on the outer edge so you don't lose any of the edges of your photos.

Works for me

The Mainstays 5X7 Black Format Picture Frame is a quick and easy way to frame your favorite picture or certificate. The front-loading frame is made from matte black plastic with a glass front. To load a picture or certificate apply pressure by pressing on the back to "pop" the glass out of the front of the frame. Add the picture or certificate and "pop" the glass back into the frame. The Mainstays 5X7 front-loading frame can be hung or stand with the included easel either horizontally or verically. Easels are included with most frame sizes. The Mainstays 5X7 front-loading frame has a minimalist look and feel to it. It is a great frame for keepsake photos on your desk at work or at home. it also makes a great gift frame with a favorite photo of friends, family or other loved ones. Even a favorite photo of a family pet. I used my frame for a trike picture I took to remind me of a special ride my husband and I went on. This is a great frame that is easy to use.

Front-Loading Frame

I was looking for something like this (a frame where tou focus on the picturw not the frame) on stores but I never found it. Always the huge bling-bling frames . I needed more than 10 and buying individually was too expensive. Shopping on my Walmart store I found this style of frame simple and practical . I went back home and surf on walmart.com and they have it on sets of 12 at a reasonable price. Good deal!☆☆☆☆☆

Simple and practical

The frames are the perfect size and perfect price for my Disney lithograph collection. The 2pk is under $5 and affordability is important for my growing collection of mini lithographs from the Disney Movie Club.

Perfect fit

I was impressed with how easy it was to open the frame and securely put the new picture in.  The first one was the last Father's Day with my dad and the second was a going away party for my brother who was dying of Cancer.

Easy out Easy in

I received the Mainstays 7" x 9" Black Matted to 5" x 7" Format Picture Frame and used it for my nephew's son's school pictures. The frame made the picture look very stylish and gave it a classic look. I like having a mat also because it gives it a nice polished finished look. The frame was better than I expected.

Good picture frame.

This review is for the Mainstays 7x9 matted 5x7 frame in black finish.
It’s a cute little frame that you can hang or set on a table , it’s not fancy just a plain little frame it’s heavier than the ones you can get at a dollar store , it’s an okay frame for an alright price and it does what it’s made to do hold a photo, for the price and quality I’ll recommend it.

It’s okay

This frame measures 5x7 and is very basic. It is made in China and distributed by Walmart. The frame is black and has a very thin profile. The picture is the main show here. The black edge is VERY thin.
Interestingly, the picture loads from the front. The glass is popped out of the thin plastic edge by holding the corners and pushing the glass forward. Once the glass is removed you simply place the picture in the frame and reinsert the glass to reseal it. There is a plastic piece that can be removed from the back and slides into a slot in the back so the picture can be stood on a table, etc. There are also two keyhole slots that can be used if you intend to hang the picture on the wall, on for horizontal and one for if you are hanging vertically.
