Have been addicted to Big John's ever since living in the MIdwest where it was available in taverns and such food service places as a single serve item. Now on West Coast I found it on Walmart and at a great price. Sausage is chicken and pork and is not greasy, vinegar pickle means that no refrigeration is needed. Slice and eat sausages for sandwiches for lunch or have a sausage as a snack. Vinegar pickle also is excellent for pickling hard boiled eggs or other items after sausages have been eaten.

i take a knife and make a cut end to end just enough to cut through the casing and pill it off. I personally don't like casing on any sausage. To me, it's the best pickled sausage I've ever had. Others for me are to hot.
