Great Value and Performance

I was looking at more expensive models with a lot less power when I came across this BIC. It does a great job of deep lows and can even power through some almost mid-range levels. I had to run it through my speaker wires beause I couldn't get the sub digital out to work, but that probably has more to do with my 10 year old receiver. Although the sub does a great job with the low tones, you'll probably want some tower speakers or high powered bookshelf speakers with woofers to generate the moajority of the mid/mid-low for better clarity. If used solely for the lower ranges (<100hz) it does a superb job, with a lot of power and is unbeatable for its price/power ratio.

Vic venturey 10" down firing subwoofer.

I read a dozen reviews on this Bic10"down firering powerd subwoofer. I was looking to replace an older one that I have I couldn't wait for it to be delivered when the sub came in I hooked it up to my system needless to say I was very impressed with the product solid,heavy compartment with a nice finish. The only thing I was hoping is the subwoofer had a remote control but its not setup for one.

Great value

Bought this to replace an old unit as well as complete a completely BIC surround sound system. The entire sound system is now exceptional, with presence we did not have before. The subwoofer is very tight and accurrate, working well for both theater sound and music. The controls give lots of options, including speaker level hook-up, analog and digital line level hook-up. The latter allows it to be controlled by the digital signal for perfect sound balance. Have never been disappointed with BIC products.
