I was really surprised that I had to assemble it myself. But it was fairly easy. It came in two boxes. I like that the side arms are pillows. Instead of just wood; you can unzip it from the seat cushion. You can wash the covers on the pillows where you sit in the back pillows that you lean on. I would recommend this if you have a small living room as well. A good size and comfortable. I have a lot of space in my living room now it's not too big and it's not too small. It's just the right size for me andmy son.

Helps to have two people to put it together but I was able to on my own. Seems secure and sturdy, I like it. The cushion covers can be unzipped and come off, I haven't tried washing them yet but I'm pretty sure you can. Soft fabric and firm but not hard.
