Great quality

This lantern is really sturdy. It is heavy and it's the hinges are tight. The candle is battery operated. A screw driver is needed to open the battery compartment. I know the tag said it's for outdoor but it looks so pretty I'd rather use it indoor where we can always see it. I placed it on top of our tv cabinet. Great decor piece.

Perfect Accent Piece

I absolutely love this tall lantern. Its well made and adds such a nice touch to the front porch. Made of wood with solid plastic windows that do appear to look just like glass. A battery operated candle is securely inserted in a dish type stand that requires 3 AAA batteries. The only thing I honestly don't like is the battery section of the candle. You have to have one of those tiny screw drivers to unscrew the the battery latch. I simply left it out. ... and of course the candle is not on any sort of timer. So I guess my only critique would be with the candle which is just fine as is but could easily be replaced. The latch is a nice solid piece. Overall, this is a nice quality item. It is an outdoor piece but the tag says not to expose to wet weather which makes sense since its made of wood. It the holidays so added a little touch of Christmas to it for now. It looks really lovely as is or could be jazzed up to suit your needs. The candle is fake but adds a nice realistic glow and allows you to decorate the inside if you chose to.

Absolutely love

This is my absolute favorite addition to my home. It's made for outdoors but I hated to ruin it outside. I placed it by my fireplace and it's perfect. The color is soft. The light flickers and creates great ambiance. The glass is thin with no imperfections. It latches well. I love the character it gives my home.
