I fell in love with these bird designed material when I seen it. I didn't know if it would be enough or not but I made it work for me. I made a pair of short curtains for my bedroom and now I can finally decide on a color to paint my walls. This is 100% cotton but I washed and dried it first and all I did was smoothed the material out with my hands and folded it until I was ready to sew the curtains. That was a big surprise to me for cotton that I didn't have to iron it and it is between a medium to heavy weight also .It blocks a lot of sun that was coming in my windows in my bedroom. It was a breeze to sew but I did have to cut quite a bit of fringe off after washing but I guess that should be expected with cotton. I am very happy with the turn out of my fabric especially since this was my first try at sewing.

This fabric is even more beautiful in person. The colors really pop against the black background. It is a very elegant pattern and I can't wait to reupholster my chair. The fabric itself is thick but not so thick that you can't fold it easily. There is enough to cover the seats of several chairs.
