This is the best waterproof mattress cover we've ever purchased! It's really soft and has NO plastic feel or crunchy noises. We bought it with a 6" Zinus Serenity mattress, so the sides definitely covered it. The only problem is that we have it on a loft bed, and it only partially covers the bottom of the mattress, so you can see it from below. Not a big deal. The best part is...we got it on sale for $10! SCORE!

I purchased the Better Homes %26 Gardens 200 Thread Count Waterproof Cotton Mattress Pad to cover an extra-large dog cot for my older dog who gets sick often. We needed a soft, waterproof and washable cover to protect his foam topper. He absolutely loves it. And we love that it can be rinse, washed and back on his bed with no fuss. If I ever have need for another waterproof mattress pad for a child or elderly parent I would definitely buy again.
