I have never owned a gym mat before so I was unsure of what to really expect. I knew that the description stated that it was made from high-density foam but sometimes you just never know what you are going to get. I am not a skinny girl and right now I weigh about 197 and I did not have any issues with it sinking into the floor whatsoever. It stays pretty firm! It is so nice to have a gym mat to lay on when stretching or doing a little strength training with dumbbells and kettlebells. This gym mat is 6 feet long by 2 feet in width, with a 2 inch of thickness in the matt itself. When you fold it up it is about 6 inches in width so it is definitely small enough to store under most beds. The product description states it is 5 lbs but it does not even feel that heavy to me. It would probably even work well in a pinch if you needed somewhere for someone to sleep! haha Overall, I really love this mat and I should get a lot of use out of it. I like the fact that it is very sturdy, is easy to store away, has carrying handles, and is easy to clean if needed. Plus, I love the color!
