NOT Waterproof, NOT even slightly Water-resistant

Bought this Indoor/Outdoor fabric to recover my patio cushions (In the Color Twilight) It's a heavier fabric but not waterproof or water resistant at all.... I took a small piece of this fabric, put a paper towel inside of the fabric, wrapped it tightly with a rubber band and sprayed it with my kitchen sink sprayer hose ... The paper towel was soaked and not just slightly, it was drenched all through. Now I don't even want to waste my time using this material on my outdoor cushions. A heavy regular non outdoor fabric would probably be better than this fabric. I don't understand how it is even classified as an outdoor fabric!!
