The included end caps are nice if you want to install a mirror or other bar-end accessory without having to cut the grips. They fit very tight. These take some of the strain off the median nerve that makes your hands go numb. I don't think these would work well for competitive riding or single track where a full hand-wrap of the grip is necessary. Use round ones for that application.
