The "Bell" chain repair tool comes with a repair link in the package but if your chain link broke during normal use you should replace the chain with a new one.

No, unless you are talking about the quick-release master link. That is not a whole chain link either, just the outer plates and a c-clip.

If you have a link that broke, you should buy a new chain anyway, and check the operation and wear condition of your other components. Be sure to lubricate your chain well (chainsaw oil, motor oil, jigaloo, NOT WD 40!!!, will work for poor folks).

if it is a BMX bike no. this is a multi speed chain you need a single speed chain, bell sells thouse too.

56 inches and yes does come with master link only to make it shorter you will need the $4.96 chain repair tool to remove the unecessary links.

Easy to install. Clicking the pin was a bit challenging because the pin and the hole was not in line. I believe it was designed that way. But it would be nice if there was an instruction on how to do it. If you keep trying, you will succeed so that is why I gave a 5 start.

I ordered this chain on a Friday for my 21 speed Trek 810 bike. It was delivered on Monday!
It was as described on the website and included a quick connection link. Very simple installation process and I was riding within 20 minutes of receiving the package.
I'm very happy with the purchase and intend to order at least another 2 for the other bikes in the family.

Although the package reads a chain breaker is required (and I had) it really is not required as long as the chain length is exactly the same chain length you are replacing. I got lucky and did not need to adjust the chain length on my 26" hybrid so all I had to do was use the clip in the master link and some pliers to fasten it closed. This chain is heavy but very smooth. For the price, the weight seems appropriate. You can spend more and get a lighter one, but this one is perfect for my Fuji Cambridge hybrid bike. I have a 12 speed and this chain worked perfectly. Although the chain has some lubricant on it, I used extra chain lubricant on it to ensure it was protected. I am very happy with it and would recommend it for entry-level and basic bikes.  There are higher-quality chains out there, but you will spend much more for them. This is adequate for my 26" bike. It has an easy to spot gold master link too which is a great help. You will need a plier tool if you don't have a chain breaker tool to install.

Basic bike chain great for the price

The bike chain js good quality and the process of resizing annd installing the new chain went OK.  But the instruction sheet said that I should hear a distinctive 'click' when the master link was in place.  I got a 'click' sound but it wasn't loud or distinctive.  I installed the new chain about 33 miles ago, with no problems.  I am, however, a little uncomfortable since I am not sure that the master link is properly installed.

I would buy this product again if I need  another chain.  I feel that I could be successful with the install process now.

Good product at a good price.

The description states:It includes 112 links and one master link for an easy installation without the need for tools. Yet the package received clearly states tool needed. I would rate it lower but I can't blame quality of the chain on the difficult install.

Inaccurate install description

Not worth one star. I've bought three chains(I'm new at replacing these so I thought I was the defective equipment.) I successfully replaced one then the other two the holes don't line up for the link to even snap in place super cheap and huge waste of time. Just pay extra and buy the real ones

Not recommended

I was not satisfied with this product. The end link was of poor quality and I had to buy a repair kit to replace the link that was damaged when I used the chain tool to close it.

Use better quality resources.

I requested Bell Links 500 5/6/7/8-Speed Chain. I was shipped Bell Link 500 10-24- Speed Bike Chain which is the "WRONG SIZE". This was very disappointing  and time consuming.
