Beckett Super Sludge Remover W/Barley, Natural Bacteria For Ponds and Water Gardens, 8 oz. is an ideal treatment to promote clear, clean water. The all-natural formula contains bio-barley and natural bacteria that breaks down floating debris in ponds. This fast acting formula helps to prevent cloudy water, reduces odor and sludge waste from ponds. Add one level scoop per 200 gallons of pond water every 2 weeks. Safe for use in ponds with plants, fish and wildlife when used as directed.

Effective and natural way to eliminate algae
We have a pondless waterfall. I have found this to be the only stuff that keeps the algae away. This promote (good) bacteria growth which then consumes the nutrients in the water that eventually makes the algae starve and die. Seems to be safer than the the straight up algae killers. Our stream attracts a lot of birds and other critters, so using harsh chemicals is not an option. The battle between the algae and the (good) bacteria does take a few days to play out, so you need to have patience.
