Once you stop “reading” the directions, sort, organize all the pieces, and then use a little common sense...assembly becomes easy. Note (6) R and (7) R, do not assemble on the same side. Took me a minute to figure that out no thanks to the instructions. Same goes for (6) L and (7) L. They must be interchanged, one R and one L, and connect to each other to assemble properly. Honesty would've been easier with regular screws rather that hex screws but so far the bed seems sturdy enough. PRECAUTION: None of the hardware pieces are labeled, so you have to dump them, sort them, then count which screws go to where according to the pictures. But if you can make it through all of that, you have a beautiful bed.
