Worth seeing!

Very good movie with an excellent cast, including Robert Shaw, Laurence Olivier, and Susannah York. The cinematography in this film is wonderful. It enables the viewer to "travel" to foreign countries without ever leaving their home. My personal preference with movies is that they were filmed on location and contain intelligent and realistic dialogue. This movie provides both! I recommend it!

Real Planes Real People Who Prevailed

This movie was made in 1969 and when Real airplanes from WWII could be purchased for a song, hence the amazing NOT Digital crashes, flying, photography and excellent script. This could not be made these days without digital help. The problem with digital is it looks Too perfect and the actual mechanics and weight of a heavy aircraft crashing can nearly be felt in this epic film. This is a great story of what happened to the people in Britain over 4 years of terror. A piece of history and should be right next to The Longest Day on your DVD shelf.
