Barra 1866 CO2 carbine .177 with .22 rifled barrel

This is an excellent rifle. The action is smooth and crisp, it has excellent accuracy at good range. With the .22 rifled barrel upgrade, it's very good. It's well made and seems very durable. I also have the Umarex Cowboy Legends, and while the two are extremely similar and use the same action and internal parts, the Barra 1866 is the better carbine overall. I'm very pleased with this rifle.

Accurate, Affordable and Fun Rifle

I bought the Barra 1866 CO2 rifle with smooth bore .177 caliber barrel and immediately upgraded to rifled .22 caliber barrel. I put a dot reflex optic on it. Once sighted-in it is more accurate than I expected. The instructions that come with the barrel upgrade kit should be more detailed. The rubber piece that interfaces with the breach requires a specific orientation (ramp feature downward). Also, the orientation of the barrel (front end / rear end) appears to matter. I compared the twist direction from one of my other rifles to get the orientation right. This information is missing in the installation instructions. Overall the rifle is accurate, affordable, and fun.
