The quality of this doll is pretty remarkable. It has a lot of detail built into the doll where there are a lot of little things that they didn't shortcut such as the courage pin and the hair of the doll. This doll is really meant to be a collectible but kids could still play with it. It comes with a separate stand that you can keep the doll on if you want to just display it. If you want your kid to play with it just remove the crown because it could be a little sharp of an object depending on the age of your child. This Lion King Doll is in a very good quality. I'm very impressed with the detail works that the manufactures have done. The doll is perfect for the all the Wizard of Oz fans or the doll collectors. I believe the price is high due to the hair, the clothing and the small accessories. It has a few tiny parts as accessories, the detail is very good, definitely not cheaply made. And the whole package is for the 75th Anniversary of Wizard of Oz, it is great value for the collection. I believe it is a piece of collection.
