Convenient, esp if you're feeding outside strays. Really good to have two bowls, a side for 'crunchies', cat food, even water, so important. The bowl itself will hold a regular can. We carry a plastic bottle, like a coke bottle, filled with water and fill one of the 'sides' that way. We bought 2 bowls, came back in a few days and purchased two more bowls. Sellers choose the color- it hasn't minded us or the cats one bit! As to any problem - the only one we have experienced is when the wind blows. You (and the kitties) are best served placing the (full) bowl against the wind in a covered corner.
