I would buy again

I have used a Tripp-Lite product for many years and have been very satisfied with it but it was time to upgrade with this SmartPro. I like the flexibility in being able to position this in an upright or horizontal position. The design of the outlets allows for a couple of brick plug-ins without covering up other outlets. Very easy to set up. Perfect for my home computer, modem, and router.

I am pleased with the size to power ratio it is very compact

I have a Panasonic 50" plasma tv with a power issue, when it has a slight power fluctuation or surge or power outage, a capacitor bank overloads and the set won't restart for a duration of 2 to 3 days until the capacitors leak down. I purchased the 1000VA 500 watt UPS to prevent this from happening.

Where I live, the power is constantly flickering on and off. That's a death sentence for electronics. I needed a UPS to keep a TV, wireless cable receiver, and soundbar from frying. I already have 3 UPS units for other equipment. I like this UPS because it can be used horizontally or vertically. The only thing I wasn't expecting was the fact that it is quite heavy. From looking at the photo it seems small. I should have check it's weight. I know from previous experience with Tripp Lite, it will definitely do the job and keep my electronics safe. If the power goes out for a longer period of time, the UPS keeps the the TV and the rest running until my generator kicks in.
