BAND-AID Brand Large Pro Heal Bandages + Hydrocolloid Pads, 5 Count

I had a minor scrape on my knee that. despite immediate treatment, became infected in a matter of 24 hours. So, I started to treat it with Neosporin like I've always done in the past. I applied Neosporin with a q-tip to the wound then covered in with a typical band-aid. Usually my wounds have shown some kind of improvement within 24 to 48 hours in the past after applying Neosporin etc. Not so, this time! In 7 days, the small scrape on my knee became 1 very infected knee - pus and all - despite religiously following the Neosporin plan that's always worked for me in the past. I was getting extremely worried and should have gone to a doctor for treatment. However, I did some research trying to find alternative treatments for Neosporin resistant wounds and ended up here. I applied a large bandaid following the directions on the box. I left in on for a full 48 hours. By then, the pain in my knee subsided a little. By the time I had used all 5 bandages for 48 hours each, my infected wound was 100% better. No more pain. No more pus. No more infection. A couple of extra details: first, these Band-Aids are waterproof in that they form a seal around the wound and don't let water in. I actually took a couple of baths while using these, and they didn't come off. And, second, there's a possibility that some of your wound will get pulled off with the bandaid when you go to replace it. It may not feel good, but it's a normal part of the healing process. It hurt a lot less when that happened than the infection itself. Totally worth it. While I don't know how or why these band-aids work, I do know they did what Neosporin couldn't: they healed my knee.

I'm a caregiver for my bed ridden mom and at the first signs of a bedsore i use these. They take a week mostly less than a week to heal them completely. Thankfully I havent had to use them much but we always have a stock on hand.
