they are absolutely fantastic. made specifically for highlighting your Bible and it will not bleed. you can lose the cap and it'll still stay good because it's not sponge with color in it. it is actual twist up gel. This is all you need to know: my 4th grader still has the same one from kindergarten, it's been uncapped for 3 years, and it still highlights flawlessly. It's astounding. Dumbfounding. Profounding (yes I realize that's not a real adjective).
