Feeding Instructions
Using the chart, divide the total cups per day by the total number of times you feed your dog per day to determine the portion size for each meal. Keep a clean bowl of fresh water available at all times. Every dog is a little different, so optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size and activity level. Please use this information as an initial recommendation only and adjust when needed. Dry and wet food in combination will help to increase the level of water in your dog’s diet. If feeding with wet food, reduce dry amount by 1/2 cup for every 6 oz of wet food.
Transitioning: Gradually mix in the new food over 7 - 10 days, increasing the amount of Merrick Healthy Grains Senior Recipe each day. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets.

great for picky eaters!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 16 year old shih-tzu mix is notorious for rejecting food, so I didn't have high expectations for this kibble. However, he polished off his bowl tonight! I mixed it with wet food and while he initially turned his nose up at it, he just inhaled his entire bowl of food. The kibble is a good size for small dogs (my senior dog is 10 lbs). It felt hard, but after being mixed with wet food, it softened up. It has glucosamine and chondroitin which is good for joint support. I am hopeful he'll keep eating this with his wet food as it has a bunch of minerals and other stuff good for senior dogs!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog is about 12 yrs old, weighs 8 pounds, and generally doesn't have much interest in dog food. Enter Merrick Healthy Grains. Not sure what sort of sorcery this dog food holds, but she decided it is worth gobbling up. Now time to put some meat on her old bones! Would definitely recommend!

Stubborn Dachshund Approved!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My eight-year-old dachshund is extremely picky when it comes to dog food. She also prefer smaller bites so I wasn't sure if she was gonna like this or not. The kibble bites are perfect for her and she was able to munch through them like a champ! She really seemed to enjoy it though! I forget that she is technically a senior, so I also like this dog food has ingredient that supports healthy seniors. With her being a dachshund, it's especially important to make sure her joints are well looked after. She really enjoyed this and I was so happy to receive this to try out, we may just be switching over!
