Brinks Commercial Matte Black Metal Hydraulic Adjustable Door Closer Grade 1

Over the years, the spring hinge closers to my shop door stop working. I was looking for a better solution and the Brinks BC4061 was exactly what I needed. Having grandkids hanging around we needed a closer that could be adjusted to make sure the door doesn't slam on their hands.

Very well made heavy duty I've installed quite a few of these working in maintenance department. I have a very heavy security door on my residence and I thought this would be just right since the piston door closers only last me about a year. So I thought I would try a commercial closer but the frame on my door is too small to accommodate the unit unless I have the mounting bracket welded to the door. Which I will try as soon as I buy a new welder. Once that happens I see no problem attaching the unit and by seeing how well it's made I'm sure it will last for years.
