Amazing! I have owned many chainsaws through out my life. Husqvarna, Stihl, even craftsman. None of these hold a candle to what this saw can do. Instant torque and quiet. . If you are a home owner this is what I would buy. Now that being said if you are in the business of cutting down trees for a living I don't think the battery technology is quite there to keep up with demand of cutting 8 hours a day.

Excellent Tool ! I've been using gas powered chain saws for 40 years. Different sizes and brands, and they've all served me well. The level of convenience and power with the EGO 18" saw has convinced me to switch over permanently. No more gas/oil mix...no more balky carbeurators and sketchy starting. Just bring a couple 5 Ah batteries and a bottle of bar oil and I'm good for the day.

My brother-in-law has chainsaw guy in our family for most of my life. I decided that I needed to start to help cut some of the trees on our farm. I originally was going to buy a gas chainsaw but read about all the trouble they can have starting…my brother-in-law agreed. After much research the EGO seemed like a wise purchase. In cutting lumber in the woods this weekend with my brother-in-law my saw was able to keep up with his gas-powered saws without all the fuss. While I've only used it for a couple days, so far I'm glad I went with the EGO!!
