Perky-Pet Lavender Field Top-Fill Glass Hummingbird Feeder

This is the first hummingbird feeder that I was able to fill and hang with out even a single drip on me or the counter top. It is like a mason jar with a gasket seal top that just presses in so you fill it just like filling a glass or jar. Its so pretty and sturdy. Many feeders have cheap plastic flowers to attract birds or cheap stands for the birds to rest. This feeder is simple but well designed and has no cheap parts that can break. In fact, i believe the jar is glass. The flowers on the base are a soft rubbery construction that feels more like a real plant to a bird than a stiff plastic flower. The jar holds 16 oz of humming bird nectar. The base is sealed so it doesn't drip or leak but it can be taken apart and washed. I absolutely love the purple color with red flowers. It looks like the butterfly bush and other natural plants that attract hummingbirds. I just hung it up and instantly a bird was checking it out. I was unable to grab my camera quick enough to show that in a picture but I did take a picture of it hanging near my home. I am really pleased with this item.

I was skeptical about a "top fill" hummingbird feeder! This is very nice and as long as the base is securely twisted onto the reservoir, it doesn't leak! There is a gasket on the lid that makes the upper seal. We placed several different hummingbird feeder styles and they do seem to prefer feeder bases which offer a perch. This Perky-Pet feeder is very easy to clean, fill, and hang. The feeder "buds" are soft silicone instead of the hard plastic most are made from. I definitely recommend this feeder and find the capacity to be just right as the birds will use it up before it can spoil. A larger reservoir that doesn't get finished off quickly has the chance to go bad. Very pleased with this unit.
