Great knife for the price. VG-10 is a good working steel, which is easy to re-sharpen -- keep it touched up. This is a hard work knife -- fishing, hunting, etc. The saber ground is not as sharp as the flat ground version, which is better for fine slicing, but more fragile blade. If hard work is your need, this knife is a way to go.

Great knife for every day use

Great knife for every day use. I immediately switched the position of the belt clip, but this is an easy fix with a 1.5 mm allen wrench. It's impressive to have 4 different mounting options for the belt clip. The handle is light weight, sturdy, and has a firm, yet comfortable feel to it. Have had Buck, Kershaw, Gerber, and other pocket knives. I prefer a combination straight and serrated blade. It is easier and safer to cut such things such as rope, cord, and tie-raps with the serrated edge. It does take a little technique to open and close this knife with one hand, but it can be done easily, and without cutting yourself. The blade was very sharp, with a perfect, very even, bevel edge. The serrated section is a different design than I am accustomed to, but works very well. The blade locks securely, with no side movement. The VG-10 is an excellent steel alloy! Did my research before I bought it , and in the $50 to $100 price range, can't beat it!
