Ball canning jars are the best, hands down.
I've been a jam maker for more than 30 years and have given my products to two different NPOs. For the current NPO, I've donated over 12,000 jars comprised of 32 different flavors during the past five years. I've tried other jar maker's products but continue to come back to Ball jars time after time primarily because of their sealing capability even when using recycled lids. Since all of the costs for making jam are from my own pocket, I try to save money whenever I can. Now that I'm buying my Ball jars @ Walmart.com vs. the retail store I'm saving about $4/case which adds up over time.
