I have had one of the older models for about 15yrs...it had the manual bar oil aplicator. Being able to switch back and forth between polesaw and chainsaw is a huge deal though you need to have some basic knowledge of chain and bar maintenance. I will now be getting this newer model because I decided to take down an entire 24 ft tree in my yard and that is probably more than it was intended for...I mean it still works but much more banged up. You know you have a good product when other companies try their best to imitate it, and that is what you are getting here.
