A Surge Protector that turns off when compromised
This surge protector has several excellent features. It is the first I have ever encountered that will shut off if protection is compromised; others give no warning unless the power surge is strong enough to leave visible damage. It also has 10 outlets, 8 of them spaced far enough apart to handle bulky power supplies. Other handy features include a side plug and protection for phone lines.

Good protection from power surges
Several neighbors suffered extensive damage from a nearby lightning strike which made me think about my surge protection. I installed the Tripp-Lite TLP1008TEL Surge Protector behind my entertainment center after reading good reviews about it.
