Secret Aluminum Free Women's Deodorant Solid, White Peach, 2.4 oz

Since the aluminum in deodorant and other personal care products is potentially bad for you and might lead to neurodegenerative disorders, I only buy aluminum free deodorant for my preteen, teens, young adult children. Our favorite scents are coconut vanilla and peach, but we have liked the cotton and the cucumber as well. We only use the solid and have not tried the gel versions. We have not had any skin irritation. I suspect that irritated skin from shaving too closely or with a dull/old razor could predispose toward irritation, but we have never had a problem. The kids don't shave under their arms, but do have sensitive young skin. After reading some reviews, it occurs to me that many people have unrealistic expectations. Please note that this is NOT intended to be antiperspirant. It is not supposed to keep you dry. Aluminum keeps you dry by clogging your pores…. This aluminum free deodorant inhibits bacterial growth that causes odor but heavy sweating people will need to apply more often. It does work, just not as thoroughly as the toxic products. Also, bathing daily is a necessity, especially if you are using healthier alternatives like aluminum free deodorant. Bottom line: This deodorant works great if you reapply after doing something sweaty, and you bathe daily. It does not keep you dry. It is deodorant, not antiperspirant.
