Marble Rush® Raceway Set Marble Run Building Set, VTech®

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My tween helped his little sister build this set and between the two of them, the build went smoothly. The directions have three separate builds based on difficulty level. The images included in each step of the directions were detailed and color coded, making it very easy for the kids to understand which new connections get added to the build. There are two AA batteries included and they will probably last a bit longer, but directions suggest replacing, which we did. The kids had fun racing and then when they wanted to try something new, they built their own marble run. The website includes numerous additional builds of varying levels for a couple of the playsets, but at this time, the Raceway Set does not have any available. I like that the Marble Rush sets have interchangeable pieces and imagination is challenged. If you want to throw in some specific STEM lessons, the website includes some basic information as well as more detailed lessons and activities. As both an educational tool and a fun activity, this set is a win!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this marble set for my 4 year old, but my 11 year old is enjoying it too. It is marked as 4+ but there is no way she would be able to build it on her own. My 11 year old was able to build it easily. There are a lot of stickers to be put on during the first use. After that, you can choose one of three different builds and the instructions are easy to follow. Everything snaps together easily and feels like it will hold up pretty well to repeated taking apart and putting together. There are sound effects, but they are not overly obnoxious. My 11 year old enjoyed building it and the 4 year old loves racing the marbles over and over again. So far it’s a hit!
