For Long Guns Only
Depending on the head rest spacing of your particular truck, this rack may not work. In my full size Chevy the rack measures 43 inches from outer edge to outer edge and the pouches are 6 inches wide. It will work OK for a full size shotgun with a barrel length of 28 or 30 inches but probably not for a gun that is shorter than that. If the holding pouches were a bit longer it would be much better. I still plan to keep my old single shot shotgun in a gun sock to keep things clean and out of sight from prying eyes. I had to drill 2 holes at the bottom of the drivers side slide rails to mount metal rings to secure the tie down straps at the bottom on that side but that was no trouble. A couple of shell pouches with velcro flap closures would be better than the elastic shell loops that these come with.
