The most beautiful sound is produced by gentle strokes, which work best with a soft textile tape glued friction rod, a felt stick or a felt ball. Originally, the Himalayan singing bowls were used as everyday utensils. In the past, shaman blacksmiths travelled through the Himalayas, and forged the utensils the locals needed (singing bowls). A harmony of the different elements was achieved when the alloy produced a nice sound when hit. This corresponds to the ideal image of the Buddhist doctrine of balance and harmony. We can think of nothing else that allows us to feel sound the way one does when touching or holding a struck Himalayan singing bowl. Hand-made and hammered singing bowls are highly sensitive, depending on their thickness and size. They react to air pressure, humidity, temperature and fine matter, but you will discover this for yourself.
